Spent this morning argueing with the boss about the Civil Contingenies Act, and the little known proposed re-introduction of the death penalty hidden in the Lisbon ConTreaty. Really didn't have time for it, as I have shitloads of work to do, on a deadline thats already nearly a week past! Upshot was, he doesn't belive any of the worst case scenario, such as rioting, cancelling general election and effective dicatorship could happen in the UK, and anyway, if it does, he's all right jack; he can just piss off to the USA, thus demonstrating quite effectively that he is after all, a selfish git.

After he buggered off this afternoon, I spoke in more measured tones with my colleague, and we discussed a number of options for benefit review and long term housing policy in the UK. Most interesting. I just wish more people would take a proper interest in discussing politics. Would hopefully decrease voter apathy, and lessen the chance of the next (if the election happens) government being such a bunch of totalitarian money grubbing arseholes.

Still haven't phoned Gas or Electric to sort out the huge bill, mainly cos I can't afford it yet. Add that to the ripoff bill from the Freeloaderholder's own company of £350 for cleaning out the gutters, and I'm pretty fucked for about the next six months. Bankruptcy looms closer and closer...

Booked an appoinment for the ariel installer to come on the day I'm away on my holiday, so that has to be re-booked tomorrow. Hopefully, I can finish my work with enough time to try to sort out my expenses so that I may be able to afford the fuel to go on holiday.

Got a bit of good news, however. Apparantly the missus got a phone call today to tell me we've got an allotment, but she'll tell me more about it when she gets home from college.

Just pigged out on a Chicago Town pizza. Now feeling quite full and sick, and trying to wash it down with lots of tea. Worth it though :-)
